:barf Tired of finding this crap...

It's never ending with these cars. I'm afraid of what i would find if I strip my paint off. There might be nothing left of the car.

I was stripping the paint to make way for epoxy. Looks like epoxy will be on hold for a few days... weeks... months... ah shit, I get it epoxied some day.

Considering all the complex angles and bends, I think I'm gonna do several small patches and scab it all it in.

I think , by now , you have reached a point of no return.

Come on Bill , that bit of rust you can take/handle.

I know I can do it, but :cens :cens :cens :cens :cens

The part that concerns me is how it sweeps upwards.

Try taking some quality painters tape and tape up the entire area with a few layers of tape... then draw lines showing where the radius starts and stops. Next, carefully peel the tape away so that you can slice along the radius'd sections so that you eventually end up with a flat piece of tape. You can then overlay the tape to a piece of sheetmetal to cut your shape and then work that piece to match what you need. Even if you can't do it all in one piece, it will help greatly to better understand how to work each portion.

You can also use poster board to make cross section templates in a few places to insure you place your patches in the correct plane.

That will work. Gonna start on it tonight if I have time.

After a little work tonight. Still a big hole to fix and a few pin holes, but looking better.
