Johnny M and Jen's visit to California

So we happened upon this lovely lady and the vagabond with her while out on a typical California cruise.
We had to pick her up and take her to lunch....of course HIMSELF demanded to come along...so....

It was a great morning sharing our cars with them and a nice lunch. Johhn y and Jen are great people and we all hope they have a great and fun holiday.

We had a great time and a great drive. It was nice to finally meet Johnny and Jen. A couple of other tourists got pictures with our cars and a lesson about tossing a jacket on the hood of a classic car. :skul

I hope you both have safe (and speedy!) travels over the coming weeks.

As usual, I waste no time moving in. Oh and notice who's car we blocked from view? The others were tired of the green weenie getting all the love and attention.

Hey guys,
Jenny and Myself were really blown away by the hospitality you guys showed us. It will be one of the highlights of our trip and yet again this has proved why this forum is such a great community. We are just about to leave SF to head for Lake Tahoe and then "Mammoouuth" ;-)

P.S Craig, you're going to have to learn how to do a Spin-off if you want to impress the ladies as Jenny is still talking about the fun she had in Mikes car even with the dents on the hood. ;-)

PPS Jeff, did you figure out where that leak was coming from?

These two guys wanted their pics taken next or in one of the Mustangs. One was carrying his jacket and decides to put it on top of Shag's hood. We all screamed "Nooooo !!", like little choir boys. I think he learned a lesson.

Johnny:

It seems that the A/C compressor was working when the heater fan was running so the dripping liquid we saw was simply condensate dripping from the evaporator drain. Duh!!

Great to finally meet you and your lovely lady and glad you gave us the opportunity to show you some NorCal hospitality. Hope the rest of your holiday is memorable.

The '68 is the odd-man-out among those 4 67's, so they were discrimating against you.

Had a great time!!! Always fun to get the NorCal gang together.

My lower tie rod ball joint came out of the spindle about a mile from home just as Johnny passed me on the freeway headed back to the city. sounded like a grenade when it did.

I'll pick one up next week and get it in and possibly realigned. I have been to busy this weekend to really get a good look under there. It may be fine but it scraped pretty good coming into my driveway.

I of course jinxed myself on the cruise as I said how great the car was running.

So lucky it didn't let lose on the twisties, that could have been a disaster.

It was a lot of fun meeting Johnny and Jennifer they are great and she quickly got over the fact that we all met on the Internet. She was nervous at first and then we made her ride with each of us alone!!!!

Only in Vegas now. Still have to get to NY. I will have a BIG update with all the pics once I get home.

Did you take the shelby tour? I have been to Vegas so many times, but never thought to go the shelby factory.

I am taking the Shelby tour on Wednesday. I called them this morning and it runs daily at 10:30am.
