It's like a reunion!

Kind of unfair they ban someone but keep all their knowledge they left behind that brings in new infoseekers.
I've never read their terms and conditions, but I'd 100% guarantee that it states content generated belongs to the site. However, there is nothing that states you can't edit to delete your posts (for the un-banned). But that would be a tedious task.

Rudeman's name doesn't check out. He seems quite polite. I'll send him an invitation.
Oh he’s far from a rude man. I know him personally. His last name is Rude I guess that’s how he came up with the username. I sent him an invite and talked with him about the situation but he has not taken me or us now on the offer. Maybe the post with no replies might send him our way. We see each other 2 or three times a year since we only live about 45 minutes apart

It does, even though it should belong to the person that wrote it. They also ban scraping it, but someone needs to recover 25 years of knowledge

I’ve noticed a lot of new members there, but they’re overwhelmingly newbies with very little knowledge. I assumed they have been working the search engines to draw more in more people swing questions…but there aren’t many left to answer them.

I have started deleting some of my posts over there. Is there another way to do it other than editing them and then deleting the content? I can only edit 10 posts every 7 days.

Make copies of as much as you can first…we can restart them here. They can’t argue if we each save our own posts. They can’t prove we didn’t have our own copies.

I’m currently copying the pictures in my build thread. Even though I’m still not through in my decades long rebuild I had to stop after getting about 10 of 26 pages done and say “damn!” I recall the hours, days or weeks involved in each picture depiction. I had about 46 pages of conversation with Bart on my car with TONS of detailed info, because “Bart”, but when he left it cleaned his part of it out. Don’t want to lose my stuff when I pull the plug on my account.
