Why would you ever consider using a used clutch disc. Spend moola with Bruce of Modern Driveline.

Educate me. How can you tell it's bad--what are you looking at?

A clutch disk is a lot like a brake shoe...there is supposed to be friction material one each of those 'ears'. That said, I'd wait until it had another 50k miles on it, after Nick T. relines it with great stuff.

NEVER!! It might be over as a clutch...but if you think outside the box (gear box that is)...think green and recycle. If you cut each of those pucks off, you could outfit a 4 wheel disc brake car with them. As for the center piece, take it to the scrap metal yard and one day it might become a...the sheet metal for a PT Looser, yeah that's the ticket... a PT Looser.

...well you did ask!

So those #4 holes on each ear are rivet holes that used to hold a pad on like a brake shoe kind of?

If i can see it right , i see that the rivets are worn and that ain't supposed to be.
Next ,now that you have your clutch in your hands , just replace it and put some grease on the shaft that goes through the clutch. The front shaft of the trans.NOT TOO MUCH ofcourse !!

Obviously none of you have ever ridden with 'ole Sluggo, he rides the clutch like a fat kid on a cupcake, he's all over it...

I had one of those once in a 55 ford. Going down a step hill backed off the throttle to listen to my glass packs and there I sat. I was about 18 at the time. Got pretty good at changing clutches with that ol car.

I was no where near when it smoked.

How about you mount it on a plaque and give it as a roving award for the Fix's best burnout award...or burnt out member or something like that. Maybe it could be awarded at Fix Forum Meet...we could name it Corn.....no wait...how about Oil Field or something semi clever.

Time for a new clutch disc. Clutch rider :) :)

You can't pay any attention to Rick's fantasmagorical lies.

The last vehicle I owned with a clutch went 120,000 plus and never had the clutch out.
