Intake manifold confusion

Just got a Weiand 8020 Stealth intake. Opened box at
speed shop to inspect & it looked good. Paid for it & got
it home ready to install & what do I see, no rear water
ports. Isn't it supposed to have these ports. I looked on
Summit Racing & it shows them. I also looked at the new
8024 & it didn't have these ports. Is this something new
or is this a screwed up manifold?

I have had two stealths and both had the rear water cross over. I would contact the company.

Are you talking about a cross over port between the water ports on the rear of the intake? Why do you need these? The water gets pumped into the block via the water pump. Travels to the back of the block then into the heads. It is then pumped to the front of the head and back into radiator. Ports are not needed in the rear of the intake.

+1.

My intakes have no water ports on the rear.

That crossover is not needed. I think stealth is the only one with it. It does provide a rear hot water port for sending units and heater hoses to clean things up a bit. My thing is if it should have it, maybe he got the wrong item.

Sounds like you may have the Action Plus 8024, my Stealth has 'Stealth' and '8020' embossed at the front of the intake very clearly. Can you post any pics of the top of your intake? Mine has the rear crossover and I will be using it. I can post a pic of mine if you need.

I don't believe my Stealth has a rear water crossover. In any case, you don't need it, as previously stated.
