I always thought that it would be fun to have a car that could compete in some of the autocross or road events, probably down near Omaha as there are no tracks near here. but being that I don't have a spare car (a partial lie) and my kids are too small to enjoy hanging out in the sunshine all day I am going to have to postpone that idea..
I have 2 parts cars that *could* be turned into track only cars.. 1966 Coupe, needs front sheet metal (cheap) and to have the top pushed back straight. Some jackwad at the scrap yard pressed the top down with a front end loader sometime between when my Dad first saw it and a couple days later when he bought it. Originally a 289/3.03 (3spd) car. And the other one would require a lot more work but it is a '68 Mustang Coupe 302/C4, needs about every piece of sheetmetal that is known to rust... The doors, glass, and decklid are good though.. :thu
I noticed a lot more tractorfix.com avatars today.. is that a related site?
I sold my 1951 CoOp E4 last Fall along with it's DuAl 250 loader.
The winter before that I traded my IH856D for a Farmall 400 (and he had to pay some cash)
Hopefully in the next couple years after we build a barn I will be in the market for something even smaller, a 30-40hp hyrdostatic with cab/loader and snowblower. Then I will retire the Farmall to strict hobby farm duties.. pulling hay wagons, going to tractor pulls..
