I agree. Mine would love the kid to death but they would still probably hurt her. They don't know their own strength and have this overwhelming urge to lay paws upon you all the time. They do so with too much force most times. Plus they have this "need" to lay on people, not next to them.

My son and Weim play the same way. We just have to watch the dog because he's so big and clumsy, he might hurt the boy. He's never intentionally hurt him, just the occasional dog can't remember where his own ass is and backs into my son, who has a bad habit of walking right behind the dog. Austin has climbed all over that dog, and he just sits there and deals with it.
