This is about 250 yds south of me (my closest neighbor), I saw lights flashing through our bedroom window and looked out to see the neighbors 110 year old barn engulfed in flames, it started in his huge garage/mancave right next to the barn, he has a propane fired in floor heating system in the garage-(had) he had a 50 chevy ready to paint that burned, a restored 69 Camaro he has had for years, a 30 gun safe in the office area(it had a shower/ stool/ sink also) many deer heads, all destroyed. he had just had the barn repainted this summer. I put hay in the barn 40 plus years ago, it was all oak beam construction with pegs , not nails!--he said he had a agreed value of 30,000 on the Camaro and 150,000. on the garage---what made him sick was the barn he had little coverage on--25 thousand he thought. the barn probably would be hard to replace today. I lived on the property 20 years ago while our current house was being remodeled, that is the second property that has burned after we moved out hmmmm.--Only plus is that no one or pets got hurt!

Reminds me of a neighbor's house that went up in flames about 3 1/2 years ago. Here's a link to the pics:

Everyone got out but the back story is that my neighbor built the house himself from the ground up over a 10 year period. ...labor of love.

It was a two story plus basement, standup attic, and widow's walk. They pumped 60,000 gallons of water out of the basement afterwards.

Now that would make you sick--neat looking house.

Here is another pic that maybe helps show how big that barn was--

Dang, so sad for them.

Maybe since two houses you lived in have burned after you moved out....?????? Coincidence?

Maybe you just don't want the current residence to find the surprises you left??? :yah :yah :yah

Seriously, I am so sad for them!
