I need a favor.

Pat I'm sure you'd prefer to obtain things all together instead of having to piecemeal it, but I've got a stock mass air housing. It doesn't have the sensor installed in it, but you're welcome to it if you want it. Just shoot me a PM if you do.
 
Stock MAF's are a dime a dozen... pretty sure I have a couple in boxes in the attic. I have a C+L on my Fox and like it due to the face you can change the sampling tubes for different injectors. A9P ECM's are usually pretty reasonable as well, most people think you need to swap to an A9L when you do a 5 speed swap but that's not the case. I'm running a 5 speed on an A9P with no issues.
 
I ordered the ECM from Autozone this morning. $100 with Tax. :shrug
Advance auto was cheaper with the 20% discount, but they were not available to order.

So now I just need the maf sensor and housing.

I've read somewhere, probably on the corral.net forums...that you can run an automatic computer with a 5-speed, but not the other way around. But, I've never tried either way.

That seems to be what I am seeing too.

So while I'm at it, does it pay to upgrade the stock throttle body to a larger one?
I wasn't planning on any mods because I was going to use the speed density. But now that i'm converting to mass air I want to do what would work best.

Unless you have built the engine to utilize a larger volume of intake charge (better breathing heads, etc.)...no.

It is still pretty much stock except for the intake.

I had an A9L just in case the A9P didn't work...

I didn't notice much difference until I did H/C/I upgrade
 
Well, autozone fell through on me. They just emailed me and cancelled my order. :guns
They don't have the ecm available. It is only for a rebuild of my current one.

Now I'm back to needing to find a computer again.

I registered on Corral.net but they haven't activated my account yet so I can't post or pm anyone selling on there and the one I was looking at someone is interested in now.

I have the speed density ecm that I could send in as a core. I assume it doesn't have to be the same model.

I am trying to get my acct on corral.net to work, there are a few for sale on there.

BTW Pat, I did some checking on my reference files I've scrounged up. It appears that in addition to the A9P, you can also use the A9M, A9T, C3W and C3W1. They're all listed for an 89-93 5.0 MAF Mustang with an auto tranny. Dunno if they're a slightly different tune in the programming or not. The info came from an application chart off of fordfuelinjection.com. If you haven't checked the site out it's a WEALTH of info!

When getting a computer, make sure that it matches the wiring harness that you have. There are some differences between a manual tranny wiring harness and an auto tranny wiring harness. If you mix things up you can fry the computer. Thanks for all the help. I am getting somewhat frustrated.
I emailed or called the people from pete's link, no response.
I found 3 for sale on corral.net replied and sent pms. No response. What the hell is wrong with people.
If your going to sell crap,.respond when people want to buy it!
