Horrible, Horrible E-Bay Mercury

Yeah that would be a great draw for business, nothing says professional like a P.O.S death car out front. maybe would should start a collection to buy that thing so we can give it a humane burial.

I like the steering extensions made from chain and old lawn mower handle bars.

The car is hideous and all but that's not what gets me. I wanna know what in the hell they were trying to get at when they built it? What "look" were they trying to "evoke" (if they thought that far ahead)? 'cuz right now, it screams "I took too many hits of acid while riding a VW trike" :rofl

Hey John...time to trade UP! :pep :pep :rofl

On a more serious note....how's the damage repair going?

Hi Mike, I'd buy the Death Car, but it's just too expensive. Since I work from home, parking it on my front lawn won't generate any business. I like my neighbors.

Regarding repairs to my unreal car, the insurance company's body shop (where my painter works full time) doesn't want the job. Their estimate was in the $1200 range incl replacing the taillight panel. A friend of a friend, with a good reputation, will do it as a side job for about half that amount. That could leave me $ for a other parts.

This week, I'm gonna have another shop, that exclusively works on classics, take a look at it. Although I haven't decided yet, I pleased with my options.
