Hey guys, I need some motivation.

Some of us have the same problem.....getting motivated. You just got to do it. I'm now in hyperdrive with Shag for I want to get the car done, running and ready for a meet in Sept.

driving pics motivate you?...

So, are you saying if I finish it, I'll get one of them???

You're not the only one lacking motivation. I haven't touched my car in years. There's a ton of work to be done on it and sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed with it all. Also seems I never have the time and money at the same time.
I seriously need to get out there and finish the torque boxes and floor. Once I get that done, I think I'll be a bit more motivated to work on it more.

I go out to the garage at least every other day and continue on the complete front/brake suspension project on my daughter's '67. I may only get 1-2 hours at a time at it, because I'm in the middle of chemo therapy. I'm mostly waiting on parts right now, and hope to have the car completed and back on the road now within the next 2 weeks.

This project has followed right on the heals of my complete dash cluster upgrade from stock '69 gauges to all electronic Autometer gauges on Scary (my '69 sportsroof).

If I can keep plugging away with cancer and chemo treatments, you've got NO excuse for not getting your project done!!!

Of course, I would go absolutely insane if I didn't have some sort of project going on in the garage.

Well put John. In fact maybe one should just finished say 95% of their project, making it road worthy leaving that final 5% of detail crap, or another day to get motivated over? LOL.

Or another way to get the car done is to have your inlaws over for the weekend. Funny how you suddenly have a desire to go and work on the Mustang for the whole fricken day.

:lol

Get it road worthy. Let the little stuff come later. Just driving it will motivate you to do the rest. Just get it on the road and the rest will take care of itself. If that doesn't work, here's what you should expect if you don't feel like wrenching................. :nk

Yes, this works great! My MIL moved in with us, so I am motivated to restore my car forever!

Also, driving pics might motivate me if the speedometer said 110 or 120.... :coo
I wouldn't try to photograph the speedo while doing 120 but I'm sure I can get a volunteer...
