Heading to COTA for a 2 day Chumpcar Race

Will in Austin for the 2 day, 8 hr each race at Circuit of the Americas F1 track.

The banner car is the car I'll be driving, 1966 Mustang! There are currently 60 cars entered. Weather should be clear and hot! Hell of a way to get back into a race car, but it will answer all my questions.

Anyone near Austin, feel free to come out to the track. We have the only really old car out there!

Looks like they shipped it to Houston instead of Austin. That sounds like a blast.

Did you blow the engine already or do you get them pre-blown now?

I'm in Austin, I work just up the road from COTA, I can hear the cars and bikes when they do warm ups/time trials during the day.

It rained most of today tho.
 
When does it start? I didn't see any info on Cota's website or the link you posted
 
Sweet, DO i need to get a ticket or anything ahead of time? I only went there a few times for MotoGP and Xgames.
