Had to replace the Optima red top today

Wow, my 3 yr warranty ran out 4 years ago, still going strong even though it just sits most of the time.

I had to replace one of mine last month, it lasted 7 years! I have had great luck with these batteries.

Luckily I still had a little over 2 months left on the 3 year free replacement warranty!! :yah

That worked out perfect!

I'm well over 10 years on the one in my Goat. Pretty awesome batteries.

The guy at autozone said he had never had to replace one, hell, he didnt even test it, just asked for the receipt and grabbed one off the display.

What a coincidence, my red top in the Cuda died this weekend too. Admittedly it's one of those that gets way too infrequent use and have had it for several years. I have it on the tender now but I doubt its coming back. I bought several new bluetops from a guy on CL last year pretty cheap. Cuda will probably get one of those.

Years ago I had a Sears Diehard which had the security key fob control which turned the battery on and off. Loved that. Well they stopped making them so I wrote Johnson Controls who makes Diehard...and Optima. They sent me a free yellow top. Still in the '67.

I had an Optima red top go bad on me about 2 months ago. I had it for about 6 years. I replaced it with a new Red top. Well I had to take the new red top back because it was dead. I guess quality control went to crap as they started making the batteries in Mexico. I exchanged it for a new Odyssey battery and got $20 back in cash. The odyssey has a 108 month warranty and the Optima only carries a 36 month warranty now.
