Another eBay listing on my watch list. Heck, I may even buy this one if the bidding stays really low.

Notice within the item description that the seller states that "I already replaced the floor pans"....

And then look at the third picture that depicts the interior of the car. Notice that there is a 3" section of toe board missing and you can see the front frame rail from inside the car.

Has a rebuilt original 289... Which one is it rebuilt or original? Dave, what are you doing watching coupes?

Just staying abreast of the market is all..... 15 yr old daughter starts driving school next month and I'm receiving a double dose of wife/daughter pressure to build her a Mustang Coupe. She obviously fell far from the tree as a Coupe is her bodystyle of choice.
 
Dave, if your serious, I'm smack dab in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth, if you want me to go check on anything let me know.
 
How open is your weekend?

If the bidding stays ridiculously low... as it has been to this point.... I certainly wouldn't mind having more details before I place a bid. You know, little stuff.... like, is there inner cowl panel rot that caused the floor to rot out. Litle stuff like that.

Isn't that hole supposed to be thier as part of the vent system. It gives new meaning to keep your eyes on the road.

I've got 3 Mustangs in my care and a 2 car garage. I'm pretty full.

Got an early baseball game with the kiddo on Sat morning then a sun afternoon game. Could run over there Sat around lunch time. Get an address from the guy and I can shoot over after the game and snap some additional pics and let ya know.

That's because beauty is in the eye of the beerholder and you obviously aren't holding one.

A disassembled car does not bother me in the slightest. Cowl, frame rail, quarter panel and roof replacement does. 90% of most interior, suspension and drivetrain items are replaced anyway. A semi-solid body is the only thing I'm really interested in. The distance doesn't bother me..... figure $400 in gas and a weekend to go pick it up.

Besides, if that intrument cluster is original....

Whoops, disregard this. Car is advertised as a '65, yet the VIN tells us it's a '66. I overlooked the VIN for a minute and thought that it could possibly be a '65 GT with that instrument cluster. Since it's not a '65, that would be the stock cluster.
 
I've seen NC cars.... or for that matter what's usually left of them after rust has eaten away at almost every square inch.
 
Maybe I should list mine.........but it is overpriced and needs some minor things fixed......lol
