Going through my second childhood.

Old Grumpy
I did my "mid life crisis" years ago. During that period I bought the 69 Mustang convertible I still have, a new 97 Camaro, a new 00 Camaro and a 69 Corvette 427 coupe. The BB Vette and the two Camaros are gone now. I was paying my car insurance bill about six weeks ago and I noted that I was insuring four cars and, since my wife passed away last year, am the only driver. I also considered that my 70th birthday was coming up in early May. So I did the only rational thing. I bought myself a birthday present. Another car. It's a Victory Red 2009 Corvette coupe. I've since sold two of my other cars (the 2000 Z28 and the 2004 Safari van), but I'm flat out having a ball with this C6 beast. It's a bottom of the line 1LT model but it still has a 430 hp. LS3 engine and it scares the crap out of me when I mash the throttle. At least I know I'm still alive.;) Anyway, if you are just a Ford guy then you are probably saying "so what?" or "big deal" but, if you're a car guy or someone who knows me, you are probably enjoying the idea of this old man roaring around the countryside in his 430 hp daily driver. Lots of twisties up here in the Sierra foothills to exercise this thing on. Anyone interested in a 2013 3.5 SV Nissan Altima?:)

Very awesome. I like corvettes. If I didn't have a five year old I would get one. In fact about 2 months before we found out we were pregnant I was searching for just the right convertible vette. Then the wife dropped the bomb on me. I joked about naming our daughter Cora Evette.

Awesome. Vettes are way cool!

I have wanted a 2000 very since they came out. 62 is my second favorite with the 69 being the favorite.

Since a Pantera is not likely nor is a Viper, so a vette will likely grace my garage some day!

Have fun Ken and come on to Utah where the speed limit is 80.
