getting rid of deep scratches

All I can say is don't waste your money, it won't work. I'm in the glass business, and if you can feel it with your finger nail forget it. Rich.

If we're talking windshield, just replace it. There are too many replacements available. If though you are talking a rear 67/68 fastback glass and you want the grey stripe, only then would I consider polishing out the scratches as I did, but it's still not perfect.

Polishing a small mark out of glass is a lot different than color sanding and buffing a paint job. When you are trying to go to deep with glass you are causing a visible distortion in the glass.

so basically just get a new windshield. my rear glass has a few scratches in it also. idk wish there was an easier way then having to replace.

What about a scratch that cannot be felt with a fingernail? Dad's vert has a scratch on the windshield from the wipers. There is only one small spot where I can actually feel it with my fingernail, but 95% of it is just a mark. Is there a product that would work? Yes it is the entire sweep of the wipers, and I do not have a good pic of it.
