Friday work assignment

You got an iPhone. Just turn the volume way up ;)

Actually, for the stang, I am planning no radio. Just an iPhone connector that feeds into an amp. Put a delete plate over the hole in the dash and add a mount that the iPhone will slip into easily. I'll be able to listen to Pandoa, my music, or Sirius. Who needs a head unit anymore?

Hey, I've been putting that together on my 65. Well, on paper anyway. The interior is my winter project this year. I am going to use the kick panel speakers. No need for a super duper expensive amp though. Just need one that will boost the signal and keep it clear. I am looking for one that is small and I can put it under one of the seats. I want to install a tunnel hand brake for the ebrake, and put a small bracket next to it.

SWMBO wants me to do one in the 67 for her with a nice bracket to hold it on the dash. I may get one of those AC vent brackets for cell phones. then she can us the Ipod touch for her music.

Does the ipod touch have a blue tooth app for her phone to go through it and then the speakers?

HOpe that works for you, but I'm not sure if there's a way for the iPod to peer with your wife's phone and do two way audio over it, though.

Just a note...the "iPod connector" on iPhones and iPod Touches puts out line level audio, NOT amped audio, and is thus unaffected by changing the volume on the iPhone. Bummer. So the work-around I've worked up is adding a volume knob to the plate I'll put on my dash.

Like you this is all in my head at this point.

Steve, instead of hijacking this thread we should start a thread on it. so, don't be surprised if you see one pop up.

5. 15 in 1974, my brother's 1965 coupe... dark green, black vinyl top and interior, 289 3 spd, air conditioning. It was an unmolested car and was exceptionally sweet. He sold it to buy a Datsun after graduating from HS in 75. The HS kid that bought it worked at a nearby gas station. I'd occasionally see it on my way home from school, he "customized' it right into a POS.
