looking at some mustang pic's on flicker and came across a really modified 66 convertible.
They put the complete 2004 mustang interior in it. I don't care for the color ,but its still cool.

wow, that thing is pretty serious. Im liking the motor mods, but couldn't they do something better with the power window switches.

I noticed that also .They did all that work to get the dash and console in there an it looks great. There must be a reason they put them where they did.

Nice car. Lots of work in that.

Hey DB, do you have any build info on the 5.0 install? I am going to be starting down that road soon.

Yes i do ,just let me know what you need.

Mmm...seems like good work but I'm not a fan of new one in old...rather have a classic interior done nicely.

Any suggestions you can give me. problems you ran into. Etc.
I am starting the parts list now. Not going to be high HP, big $ build.

The wiring is going to be the thing that will give you the most headaches. If you get a donor harness make sure its a mass air.the speed density harness 87-88 don't like the cam swaps. Take all the relays and the harness lay it out and use this diagram http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/88-91_5.0_EEC_Wiring_Diagram.gif

Then its fuel system stuff , i have a e150 fuel pump on my car that works perfect. You can get the black plastic fuel line and fittings from ford .
You may want to look at the explorer for intake and throttle body .

Are you going with a 5.0 motor or putting the injection on your current motor?

you got a great deal on that motor and trans. If your going to install the motor as is i would make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge ,one that screws into the schrader valve on the fuel rail and a new adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If the FP regulator goes bad and the fuel pressure goes out of wack even 3 or 4 psi the motor will run terrible. Make sure you have good grounds , that will cause the computer to throw a lot of codes.
when wiring the power to the ignition switch from the TIF ,be sure you have the wiring connected correctly. I found that it would run if it was hooked up wrong but it wouldn't rev up past 3K.
