Found this today at Target. Not fond of some of the LEGO design choices and it definitely needs a front bumper but it’s serviceable.

Cute. I think we all grew up with lego. In my days , lego didn't have a broad assortiment as nowedays. Just small and bigger bricks. At the end of my legodays there were roof tiles availeble.Wauw what an improvement it was when building a roof !! :p:p:p
 
Bruno...not sure of the brand but Lincoln Logs were named after our 16th President back in the 1800s. The toy were pieces of wood stained brown to look like logs. They had notches at each end to facilitate stacking in a shape of a log cabin. Hence the reference to Lincoln. They also came with flat green pieces of wood for a roof. Of course we all built more than cabins with them and sometimes burned said cabins down in a sort of re-enactment.:rolleyes:
 
I always tried to build a garage with my Lego's when I was a kid. Id get so far and the roof would collapse. A week later I would try again. Wasn't too bright as a kid.

You left out the obvious to US citizens- Lincoln grew up in a log cabin

On my travels we came upon Lincoln's birthplace and log cabin. Back in the 1890s (I think) they built this big memorial building and inside it they placed Lincoln's birthplace log cabin....after they built the huge memorial they realized it was too small inside for the cabin...so they cut a part out to make it fit.

Then years pass and after someone looked into the age of the logs used they determined that the logs were actually younger than Lincoln therefore it couldn't be his father's and family's cabin. So there in the memorial building with the cabin is a caveat...this is 'like' the log cabin old Abe's dad would have built. Hey its all good.
 
I had both. Lincoln logs were by far my favorite.

I built cars and motorhomes with my Legos and collected rolly Polly bugs to put inside.

This was the mid 60s.
