Finally ... pics of the '69 Grill Mask

I finally took pictures of the grill mask today. It's made by Undercover Innovations, and is a very nice piece. It's made of metal, unlike the POS plastic one I tried before, and fit perfectly, without a single modification.

I need to paint my latch support black now to make it blend better (it was painted silver to blend with the powder coated hood latch).

It really cleans up the area, especially on the '69/'70 where the space between the grill and radiator support is so big.

John,
That looks great. I'm still working on my daughter to change out her grill to something like what Scary is sporting.

Sure cleans up that area. Did you notice any cooling changes since installing that piece?

Looks Great John.I assume you have to lower the horns??

I completely forgot until you mentioned it, but, yes, the horns have to be re-mounted lower.

I didn't notice anything, but if I did, it would mean my thermostat isn't working *LOL*. This car simply doesn't run hot.

I have the large Summit Racing crossflow aluminum radiator and a '70/later style Miloden high-volume water pump. The only 2 times the car has run warm was on 95+ degree days at idle when my fan wasn't working.

How is it secured? I don't see any screws? Do they have a web site? I searched but couldn't find one.

That is nice. I too would like to know if there's a website to look at. I'd like to put one of them in my 66.

That looks great, I'm putting it on my must have list, I would think it would help with the cooling as it would force more air through the radiator. I can't wait.

That looks good seems like a good price too ($90) per the web site. How is it attached?

Mine is just held in place with the 2 bolts from the hood catch bracket and the 2 hood stops. I used some 3M caulk string behind the piece where it sits up against the radiator support so it wouldnt rattle or scratch it up. Johns look like its just the hood stops and maybe it slides into a piece on top of the grille?

That's correct. Currently mine is just attached with the hood bumpers, making it easy to remove if I need to get to the grill area. I'll see if I need to do anything else. So far, it only has abou 400 miles with it on there.

I was so impressed I ordered one today...... but as I looked at both of your pictures I realized my car is missing something, at some point in time the hood bumper supports disappeared and the bumpers are now located in my radiator core support. I'm going to have to fabricate a mounting bracket to utilize the two holes bored in the shroud to keep it in place.... never easy but never boring.
