engine swap?

I was just wondering...how hard is it to drop a larger motor into an originally 4 cylinder Fox (late 80's model)?

I've seen a few rollers lately in decent shape for cheap (less than $1k) and I've been kicking around buying one then looking for a 5.0 motor to drop in.

If going carbed... very easy. Fuel injected a little more difficult.

One dead/totaled V8 car + one clean 4 cyl car + some time and stuff = nice finished product. I see this type of project as somewhat similar to putting a V8 in an early Mustang that came with a 6.

When I had the 93 with a 4 banger, i also had a 79 with a partial V8 swap(it wasn't finished but it was in). It would still have cost quite a bit to do (correctly).
The 4 banger cars have a lot of different parts. You would need a parts car. The only benefit i see would be if the 4 banger car was in real good shape. I ended up selling both cars.
