Drove one of these today. Testdrive.

Yeah, but over there it's nothing out of the ordinary!

Cool car.

Did you get to really stretch her legs out, or was it just a doddle around type test drive? What are your impressions? I don't know how many euros those things run...but over here they are worth more than a few of my house.

Well , I didn't get the change to go flat out but to give for a brief moments the spurs (??)
It reacts very agressive when pushing the throttle a bit.
Retail starts at +/- 180.000 € , I believe.
Shifting-time is very fast.Special transmission.Trans and rear end is a one piece unit .
Driveline has a simular setup as an Ferrari 599 , I believe.
If you want more to know : http://www.sls-amg-special.com/be/en

My understanding is that they are in the neighborhood of 500,000USD.

180,000 Eu would be around 250k USD, so they cost twice as much over here!

I was wrong...Just went back to my source for the 500k quote and realized they were talking about the SLR. Not the SLS. :fail

NO, no, no
You don't know it ,but I am a technician at a MB dealership and my job is to diagnose the electronic problems on Mercs.
So , once in awhile , i have the change to have a spin with these kind of cars on the public road .
For free !! LOL.

There was a punch line here, so I'll ask it again...

This reminds me, what's the only car that you can pop the clutch at 4000 rpm?

The question was "what is the only car that you can pop the clutch at 4000 rpm?"

It was a pimp for somebody to ask "what kind of car?"

To which the answer is "somebody else's."
