Door Hinge mounting plates

Guys,
Need a little help. I have 4 door hinge mounting plates that came with my car. The top two look original and have L stamped on them the other two just look like a few bits of steel that someone has drilled and tapped a few holes in.

I dont have any pics of what the right side plates should look like but i am guessing the same as the left ones???

I remember mine being like # 3 & 4.

Yep, 3 & 4 matched all the ones I have had to dig out of the car.....

#3 and 4 are actually the norm and #1 and 2 are the oddballs.

If they work, go with them.

The set of 4 on the left is for a 1965 1966 and will fit a Ford Mustang coupe convertible or fastback, and the set on the right is for the 1967 1968 cars.

Yep, that's what I have seen. There is a difference between in 65 and 66 though, with 65 having larger bolts than 66.

Got the doors mounted last night. Still need to spend time adjusting them but both sets of plates seem to work.

Now I have to try and line up the inner/outer fenders, Radiators support and doors before I weld.
