I have not hunted deer in 15 plus years, I killed my first one at 11 and kinda burned out at 40, I said I might get back into it and the wife bought me a crossbow last christmas, (I have since got a handicapped permit to hunt with one) --I set up a ground blind Monday, I am going meat hunting--I probably will take the first 130# or so doe that walks by--I laugh every time I look out my kitchen window and I can see my blind--there were deer walking by it already, I have them in my yard often, I am pretty sure I could shotgun hunt off of my covered front porch. There is a 2 acre field 30 yards from my front yard and 25 acres of woods behind that. The trail cam pictures are neat. I had one buck mounted and several sets of horn only mounts---don't think the wife wants more.--good luck.
(that buck in D__fords first pic looks like he has had some damage on his hip in the past, they are pretty tough animals, my mom shot one of the bigger bucks shot around here in the late 70's--255# 13 point, it had 7 .22 bullets in it from poachers over the years, was blind in one eye and was full of buckshot--all healed over)
