Daughter vs Well Head.............

The other morning I was sitting at the kitchen table and the phone rang and it was my daughter calling. I thought well maybe she had forgot something since she had just went out the door. She sounded like she was about to cry and she said "my car is smoking". I ask where she was and she said she was still in the yard. I went outside and there she was with steam rising from the hood. I told her it was not smoke but steam and her radiator hose may have blown and I'd take a look. So as a approached her car she let the cat out of the bag and told me she hit the well head. I ask her how in the world can you hit the well head and she replied "I didn't see it". As a comical note I seen on her Facebook page where she had posted the "event" one of her friends commeted "you live there don't you, you should know whats in your yard". Oh well, like I need something else to fix. In the drive is a M151 that one of my neighbors wants me to fix the batteries and a 36 Chevy one of the other neighbors wants me to buff out and now here car is in the work bay out of action. It's funny, last week the wifie and I had ordered her a new set of smoked halo lights, new grill, halo fog lights, new tail lights. I don't know if this is a coincidence or I'm being shammed, but I guess if it was gonna happen, it was at a good time. Let the fun begin.

I agree, didn't want to buy her the car to start with but you know the girls always win. I was fighting the big and little boss. As far as fixing the car I plan to play it like this, when she comes in from school and gets "her" work cloths on, the work will start. BTW she is paying for this one since I have a 1k deductible plus it will cause our insurance to increase 30% for three years. :nut

HA! Been there, done that. We were out with a friend one night, her babysitter called and told her she had to run to the store and backed our friends van out of the garge and backed over the well head. We got to her house at 2am and I had to run home and grab my jack to get the van free. No damage to the van, but smashed the cover on the well head, I put duck tape over as a temporary fix, still there 3 years later.

What the hell is a well head?

Most of us country folks get our water from our own well. Its the top of the pipe with a cover that sticks out of the ground. Mine is about 550' deep and the water is great. No chemicals and the water taste good.

Hope the well head is ok.

Just plant a pole of about 6ft next to the head well.
Paint it yellow or orange or stick some reflecting material and it won't happen again.
Condensor of the AC seems to be damaged.Steam was actual R134a gas escaping. :confu

It looks like she hit the well head a couple of times, based upon the wide area of damage on the front bumper/fascia.

Forward - reverse, forward - reverse...dammit, why won't the car go forward???

I have a well at the farm and the water literately tastes like $hit. It's 865 ft deep and has so much black sulfur in it that it takes hydrogen peroxide to clear it up.
