Anyone close to Bryan should get out there. The guys are great to meet and you can get up close to some really cool cars! The racing is awesome to watch too.

I'd go if I didn't have other stuff I need to do. Like replace the :censored intake on my '03... and well.. thats my whole damn paycheck so I may or may not be able to work on my '66. Then there's the Kolache Festival which my car club is helping with the car show out there Saturday. Too much to do and not enough time!!!

You should be able to find a stock intake dirt cheap. The swap is quick and easy. Just take a few minutes to mark all the lines and such and rip into it.

Actually it was a very common problem and happened to so many mustangs... Ford was sued.

Dearborn, Michigan. Ford has agreed to settle lawsuits filed against it due to cracking intake manifolds on certain 1996-2001 4.6L engines. The engines are found in: Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car, Mustang, Cougar and Thunderbird models. The settlement could impact over 2 million vehicles and cost Ford up to $375 million USD.
The intake manifolds Ford used were plastic and were notorious for cracking, thus causing coolant leaks.
The terms of the settlement include:
Ford will reimburse customers with receipts for the intake repair.
Ford will pay $735.00 to those without receipts, provided that they can verify with a dealership that a repair was made.
Ford will extend the warranty coverage for customers whose intakes have not failed.
Ford lost an appeal earlier in the year to have the case dismissed.
Learn something new everyday. I wonder if it was/is more common in the colder states where expansion and contraction would be more of an issue. I never had the issue on mine but I swapped it out for the supercharger pretty quickly.
