craigslist MA 67 GT 390 fstbk

Nice deal if it is indeed an S code, few things that would scare me

Wonder how long it sat by the ocean....

Do the authorities know that they have kept Ben in the garage for 3 years?

It will need a lot of work but the core looks acceptable. Full blast to clean all the rust off and then start anew to rebuild. Looks like some bondo left front of rear fender under that paint.

Doesn't look absolutely horrible, though. Even rusted, $6k is a steal for a '67 S code fastback.

If I'm not mistaken, that car was on CL a few months ago too. I'd be willing to bet there will be a lot of hidden surprises that won't make it look so attractive once it's stripped down. On the other hand, just 5 years ago the rolling shell would have easily fetched 4-6K.

For the most part, being close to the ocean in new england doesn't have too much impact here like the florida pan handle cars since the jet stream is generally running west to east so the salty humid air is hardly an issue. The road salt used in the winter is what kills cars around here.
