Coolant Overflow Tank

I had a polished Al. one like that, I did not like the cap, It keep coming loose and then one day I lost the cap after hitting a pothole.
 
If you're building a coolant recovery system, you will need to compute the total volume of your cooling system in quarts, you will need about 12% of the total coolant volume for draw down and about 6% more for the expansion. if your cooling system has a total volume of 13 quarts, the tanks needs to be able to draw down about 1 1/2 quarts and about 3/4 of a quart for expansion. The total tank volume should be about 2 1/2 quarts. That will give you some extra volume for possible cooling problems. If that amazon tank will hold 2 1/2 quarts when it's full, you're good to go.
 
I hear you. The math makes since. However, I'm just looking for something to satisfy the rules. I don't have a overflow problem, but as far as I know all the tracks require some sort of overflow tank. At least the five or six I have been on.
 
I like that, but how in the hell is that stealthy? Thats actually one reason I was interested in the black one. I don't want one at all, but I know after five years of open track events I have to have one.
 
It's stealth when you get to choose where to hide it (low & hidden), as opposed to something that's so tall, your only choice is mounting it to the side of the radiator. ;)

There are countless varieties of similar type units available. Not rocket science in how they are designed so shop for one with the right volume and appearance to suit your taste.

good to know. That explains why my Coke bottle is not cutting the mustard...
