That explains why my Coke bottle is not cutting the mustard...If you're building a coolant recovery system, you will need to compute the total volume of your cooling system in quarts, you will need about 12% of the total coolant volume for draw down and about 6% more for the expansion. if your cooling system has a total volume of 13 quarts, the tanks needs to be able to draw down about 1 1/2 quarts and about 3/4 of a quart for expansion. The total tank volume should be about 2 1/2 quarts. That will give you some extra volume for possible cooling problems. If that amazon tank will hold 2 1/2 quarts when it's full, you're good to go.
