Congratulations to the Stangfix members that were on the power tour!

Hey I recognize those cars! I was a long hauler this year on the PT, not in the Mustang though. I recognize the 67 fastback in the back of the group, had a Terminator swap. I need to get my Mustang back on the road.

I went home from Afghanistan almost exclusively to do the power tour. I was in the black Viper. I picked up a red hardtop I bought earlier in the year the day we drove past Chicago, and went with the hardtop on the rest of the tour.

Larry, thanks for the pics. I'm sure we were parked next to your car. I do remember a couple Mustangs next to use that night. And I do remember that lot. When I picked up the hardtop in Chicago the back window was clear letting in a lot of light and burning the back of my neck. I pulled to top off and set it in the small patch of grass behind the car and added some WalMart tint. Made a big difference in cabin temps. My car looks so clean in that shot, I must have just wiped it down because it was dirty most of the tour.

I brought a tent and also planned to sleep in my car because the whole tour was a last minute thing for me. I almost slept in the gazebo in front of the hotel that night because everywhere was booked. Fortunately I was able to pick up dropped reservations or bum space etc with other power tourers.
I owe these guys a special thanks for hooking me up with a room that night, Seth and Dustin at the Hampton Inn, Collinsville, I'll.

Yes, You are correct, here is a picture of Tarafied1 leaving the lot with your car and mine in the background. Craig's back there also saving his parking spot. (In the orange shirt)

And how is the paint job coming along?

Paint job is in body shop limbo. I've been busy at work, thank goodness, and busy round the house building my new car shed. 40x80x12 full bath, kitchen and of course HVAC!
