So I've got a girl at work that has been fired for a week and doesn't know it. Seriously. You know the drill; always sick, ill family members, looked at the wrong schedule, yada, yada, yada. She misses work Friday with no call but calls in Saturday morning (not scheduled to work) saying she'll be out due to a deathly ill family member that she was sitting with. Remember, she's been fired for a week and has no idea. My AM tells her she needs to speak with me. This afternoon another employee, who has no idea of the situation, comes in telling the others that this particular "fired-for-a-week-with-no-clue" employee POSTED ON FACEBOOK :bowdown about her car being towed while she was at some festival for the past two nights. I have written a response for this employee to post to that comment. :roul

sounds like my oldest son's GF! Posts on facebook all the time about how her job sucks and what a crappy place to work etc, and her boss reads this stuff. He's about to blow!!!
 
Nice. I get at least one of those every year. People are so stupid. Tell everyone about the big party your going to then call in the next day. Geniuses. I am so used to it in retail it doesn't even phase me anymore.

Yep, pretty par for the course. The best one I had was a guy calling in about how his girlfriend had run away from home and he was with her family looking for her. Two hours later I am sitting right beside his car with her driving and he in the passenger seat. (Guess he found her) He never saw me and the next day he first denied it, then changed his story to "it might've been her sister". I know I'm stupid but damn.

Don't ever show up to get your pink slip, and be stupid enough to think your transparent excuses are working.

This will be one of the people who "Just don't get why I cain't ever get a break."

Cause people don't get breaks...they make them.
 
I had an employee who had so many grandparents pass away in one year I started requiring her to bring in a program from the funerals.
