Christmas letters?

Do you send out Christmas letters?
You know the kind. A year end wrap up of all the stuff you can brag about that happened this year.
Usually I think they're rather cheesy. But I've received a few I kind of enjoyed.
Whaddya think?
Do you send 'em, do you enjoy getting 'em?

J.

We send out a funny version of an annual Xmas letter, mostly describing the problems of household repairs, what's happening with all of the animals, the quality of our vegetable garden, etc. I wanted to call it the Ticky-Tacky Xmas Letter, but SWMBO put a kabosh on that.

Since Dave has already responded, I'll throw in my $0.02. I hate those things. If you're gonna do one, make it funny like Midlife. Otherwise, it's just something for people to make themselves feel important. He]], they've probably already facebooked it, twitted it, myspaced it, emailed it, and even called you about it. I know I'm an oddball, but why do people even want everyone to know everything about 'em?

We get a few from relatives and some friends. The relatives ones I already know what they say, and some friends are the same. There are a couple of friends that no matter how we try to get together, that seems to be the only way. Those two, we enjoy. We do not send them out to anyone.

What Dave and Duane said......plus, I talk to much on this site already.

It seems that with all the instant, electronic, means of communication, if all you ever get, or give, is a once a year form letter, the relationship is not what you think it is...

Wow, I thought I was the only one that felt that way! Couldnt have said it better myself!

come on guys, with out those letters how would everyone know that little Susie was the smartest kid on the planet? HaHa

Plus I always need something to line the cat's litter box with.

+1

I think it depends on the content of the letter and the actual relationship with the sender. I enjoy the ones that are sincere from people I do care about but don't seem to be able to keep up with. The ones that are bragging in nature I can pin before I get past the greeting and don't even both reading.
