Got tired of holding the camera while hanging onto the steering wheel as well as the stick shift so I went out and found this pretty neat suction cup holding tripod. The only problem I immediately noticed was that due to the car's windshield angle the tripod was holding the camera too close to the glass. A major interference. So I had to find a way to lengthen the distance between the camera and the tripod. Thus I made this metal strapping U shaped arm.
Also, by locating this setup down near the dash, the dash pad acts as a support to help prevent the camera from bouncing around.
Now I gotta give it a try. This will be great for shooting videos of going down the coastline as well as chasing coeds in the nearby university's parking structure.
