Brought the 29 Sedan home.

Sluggo: Am I correct that what you mean by the two greens being inverted is that the lighter shade of green goes on the outside and the darker side on the inside?
 
There's two different colors on the exterior? Boy...that's tough to see with these photos. If that's the case, why worry about it?

No. It is actually two toned on the outside but the colors are very close. I think I recall him having the paint store change the formulas. Another thought is that modern paints require different colors of sealer depending on how they are comprised. If he sprayed the darker color over the lighter color but the darker color needed a whitish sealer it would change the color.

I'm sure he painted it the way Ford did, primary color on the complete body then secondary color over that.

He had the same tendencies as I do so I doubt he would have left it alone. I've pretty well decided I'm going to make it the way he intended and not what he ended up with.

He got sidetracked from finishing this car by the 3 other As he was working on. He just ran out of time. Kind of a sad situation. You could tell by some of the decisions he made toward the end that he was lightening his standards. The red/black 31 slant window sedan was being painted and having the interior done at the same time, the 28 sport coupe was being body worked, painted, brakes, interior all at once and the 30 roadster was just purchased June 2. He put new bumpers on the roadster before he passed July2.

My older brother took the 31 slant window home to Cali to finish it. The sport coupe and the roadster will be in the estate auction.
 
That's a nice collection he had. About a month ago we had a national model A convention in oshkosh. 400+ model As driving around. My parking lot at work was crawling with them. It was fun to see them all out driving around.
