I just ordered a rebuild kit for my 3 speed toploader from a reputable Mustang vendor. I went through the kit today and found it came with Nachi bearings. I've never heard of them before. They look like identical to the original style but have 'Made in Japan' etched on them.
I also noticed the kit came with plastic thrust plates. These go at the end of the countershaft between the gears and the transmission case. Seems odd they would be made out of a plastic like material. Anyone seen this before?
