Wait until you see the new rig on order....makes the old one look small like Mike'sMike has a home on wheels. Ken a villa !
(According to my euro standarts)
Be careful what you put out there! You guys are all always welcome to visit wherever I reside. Many of you have before and are I hope you do again.
Mike, I'd love to have you come by this new place and as you see in the pics I will even have a spot to park an RV. Hell, Ken can even tag along.
Been flying in at night, checking out a property or two the next day and flying back out the next night. Grueling as I am "working" the whole time as well. At least as best I can via my cell phone. Once I finally get planted I will absolutely check in with you! What you have been to my home state and never let me introduce you to real Texas Food! I am saddened.![]()
I thought it might be a Tesla bot all dressed upWhat’s with the black face? Don’t make me post that beer pic again.

LOVE driving my car but two things dissuade me from making this trip in it. First and foremost is that the temps will be upper 90's into the 100's the whole way. Hard on the car hard on me. Second is while the 5-speed allows highway speeds its still a LONG drive in a car set-up like mine. What makes fun driving it isn't exactly always comfortable. Stiff suspension and all. Plus as much as I love the sound of a high compression SBF, its still on the loud side especially with the windows down (which they would have to be). Maybe I'm getting old but the AC in the first rental truck sure was nice.Trailer the Mustang just like you did the F1. Gotta be easier the second time.
Or, drive the car and stop by my house. You'll only get a few rock chips.
I insulated the walls of my shop with traditional fiberglass bats. The walls are 4" and the ceiling is 6". I then installed the same metal sheeting on the inside of the walls as what was used on the outside. If I keep the doors closed during the heat of the day it does a great job of maintaining a bearable temperature all day long. I decided to use the metal vs sheetrock or wood for a couple of reasons. It will hold up much better, looks way cleaner and the white sheet metal helps reflect the over head lights in the shop. The other bonus is I can quickly pull down a 2' wide panel at any time if I need access behind it. I did not sheet the ceiling, yet.First order of business is to try and get it closed cell spray foam insulated asap. A wall thermometer read 118 degrees on Monday in there. I'm going to insulate and then frame-out the shop area adding solid interior walls. Will look better and is really necessary as I plan to add AC to the place. While it has a nice air conditioned "apartment" inside I want the shop itself to be comfortable year 'round.
