Been working on the 4WD a little and I think I found an area that would leak during a rain storm. I've always thought it was a rusty cowl and figured that I would get to it some day (8 years later). Upon removing the fenders this is what I found. Course it only leaked when it rained. Also I guess the previous owner must of ran out of bolts and decided to use nails. I guess as long as it works why not?

BTW, the cowl vents are perfacto on this one. Hard to believe.

what is the wire issue you are pointing at?

I'm sorry, look at (in) the upper speed nut and you will see the head of a 16b nail (above the wire). It was bent over on the back side.

yeah, I never seen a cowl leak thru the headlight wires before :wth

Look at the BIG hole where it was cut for a speaker. Nothing there to stop the water from pouring in. There is "0" rust in the cowl area. Used a fiber optic to take a good look.

It was pushed in the hole and bent over. Had to switch to a pair of pliers to get it out.
