An Ordering Windfall

As part of my harness restoration business, I need to buy fuses in bulk. I found a company on-line that sold them in 5-packs per blister, so I ordered 50 of one kind, 25 of another, and 25 of yet a third, or 100 total fuses. Typically, fuses run $1 each, so when the order was $118 including shipping, I wasn't shocked.

Today, the package arrived and it was a big 'un! I open it up, and I find that they shipped 50 blister packs of the first kind (250 fuses), and 25 of the others (125 fuses). I ended up with 500 fuses for $118 including shipping!

I feel like a kid at Christmas! Woohoo! :tigg

I won't be running out of these for quite some time!

Was there a processing error on their part? Or were the package quantities just not understood?

Buying in bulk sure seems like the right way to go!

Geek. :pbj

I'm the same way with nuts and bolts. I have a wall filled with those parts bins full of different bolts, nuts, clips, thingys and doohickeys. Every new product usually means more hardware.

I hear what y'all are sayin... I do like having assorted nuts/bolts/electrical connectors "in stock" at home... not to mention I love to buy new tools. Nothing like starting a new project that requires the purchase of a few new tools!!!

The packing slip was correct according to what was shipped; I think they just screwed up their pricing sheets to be a factor of 5 less than it should have been. I've ordered from them before in loose bulk, and that was correct. I couldn't find bulks for these three fuse types, so they came in the little 5-fuse plastic box per blister pack.

I always buy in bulk if I can. I ordered shipping cartons in bulk, as well as plastic baggies (a carton of 9 boxes each of 12 baggies). These are big bags, by the way...12x12" by Hefty (2.5 gallon size).
