Alternator pulley for a 1/2" belt

I have a installed Powermaster alternator and hit a snag. The drive pulley on the crank is 1/2" but the alt is like 7/16 or slightly smaller so a 1/2" belt rides high and I'm afraid that it may throw. Looking at the local box auto part stores in town has been a waist of time. Anyway, does anyone know of a make/model of vehicle that may have a 1/2" V pulley (with a diameter of 2.5".)

I wouldn't worry about it. My crank pulley is 1/2" and the WP and Alt pulleys are 7/16". I've never had the belt come off and it gets spun north of 7K all the time at the track. I use a NAPA - 4L330W belt.

......Yea, it blows up way before the belts come off. :roll

I'm in the same boat (Summit-brand 100amp one-wire alternator), my belt also squeals at the most inopportune times: hot chicks nearby at start-up.

Thanks, I'll check into the e-bay one. I just worry about throwing the belt and having to replace a tonn of stuff.
