A very nice 289 motor

This pretty stock 289, except for some bolt on eye candy, is going back into this 65 Cobra this afternoon. Though the car has only 17k milea on it, the rear main seal needed to be replaced as well as the crank bearings.

That sounds like a trade in the Wild West days...."I'll trade ya' one of these spoiled goods cow town girls for one of them new, purty city girls from the East coast" :confu

Extremely real or original. The guy apparently paid over 1M for it

Must be 4th generation inbred trust fund baby money cause someone who made it themselves sure wouldn't be dumb enough to let you near it. :sarc :roll :hide

I hear ya Nick, but actually it belongs to an old turd who pulls up in a 63-64 Ferrari Lusso and since they needed motor specs for a 289 and I happen to have a couple manuals nearby...... But also since I made espressos today for them, I was very much on their good side. Tomorrow I will be helping them install the clutch, bell housing and maybe the gearbox, unless I'm too busy once again making more expresso's.

It's call priorities.........

I believe the old turd has excellent taste when it comes to his automobiles.
Did you happen to note the CSX number?

Nice car, definitely a man of good taste. "espressos"................no comment.

Thanks, going to look up it's history in the registry. Fun to see where they've been and what they've done.
