I've had this cam forever. It was made in the 80's, and the metallurgy is sound.
I just pulled this from a running engine so I know its still good. I built the engine for a friend, and now I have ended up with the whole car, and I was a more aggressive cam.
Some say the metal back then was better which is why the cams didn't have the problems with lobe failure as today. Then people say its the lack of zinc in the oil. Anyway, like I said, this cam works fine.
Here is the part number and the specs.
HMV-272-2-NC
Dur at .050 int./exh 216/228
Adv. dur int/exh 272/284
Lobe center 112
Gross valve lift int/exh .484/.512
All of the lobes look good, and this should be a great cam for mild performance.
I don't know if you can read this, but its the part number.
Also included is new lifters that I numbered as I took them out {this engine/car was never on the road, just off the trailer, and where it is now in my garage}.
Price is $60 for all, note the lifters are free so whether you want them or not the price is still $60..........lol.
Thanks, Mike.
