So my 70 Mach 1 originally came with a C6 transmission. I was in the process of installing an AOD when life got in the way. Transmission was installed, I made a mounting bracket and it's still sitting on the lift in the shop. During that time the tank decided it didn't want to hold fuel anymore. So if I have to buy a tank what better time to go EFI. While working I started collecting parts Aeromotive tank, Sniper EFI, Sniper distributor and coil. Well now back to the transmission, decided to go a head with a 4R70W utilizing the Sniper transmission controller. Looking to pick that up when I can find a decent sale on one.

It came out of a 2001 V6 Mustang.

Picked up this torque convertor. Hoping to be able to use the transmission crossmember that I made for the AOD. I had purchased the T5 yoke from Rosehill performance for the AOD. It's my understanding that I can swap the AOD tailhousing to the 4R70W and use the T5 yoke? It's this a straightforward swap? Any reason not to do this? Also plan on sourcing an EAOD transmission pan and using the correct filter eliminate the little bump on the bottom of the pan on the 4R70W. Now I'm looking at shifter/shifter linkage solutions. I'd like to stay with the stock looking shifter and possibly graft the lower components needed off a New Edge Mustang shifter converting it to a cable shifter. Thoughts? I've looked at getting a driveshaft out of a 4 door 2wd Explorer or out of a Police Crownvic to have shortened. Plan on running the radiator transmission cooler in conjunction with an external plate cooler. Motor is a 351C, solid lifter cam, it's either 3.70 or 3.73 gears in the 9".

Cam specs
Anything I'm missing, not seeing, not thinking of, etc.
