I found a 2008 Cadillac SRX with only 150 miles. The price is 33k for a 47 K vehicle. Does anyone have any experience with this vehicle? Any opinions?

No experience, but I know for a fact that my arse would love to be behind the wheel of one.

My next car will likely be a CTS.... maybe even a DTS.

Though not directly on point, while on vacation I did rent a Cadillac Deville a couple of years ago and I was impressed with the overall fit and finish, the comfort, and the fact that it could carry 5 adults plus luggage with ease as compared to a mid size GM SUV that could carry the luggage OR the people, but not both at the same time!!!! When I got home, I checked it out online and found that the depreciation on one of those babies is like a falling rock. Brand new they listed for mid to high $40K's and at two years old they were in the mid $20K's. Then again, most luxury imports these days have little to brag about any more when it comes to depreciation.

One issue i know of with a SRX is if it has the glass roof, they can leak. My buddy from Mount Pleasant, had a '07 or '08 (im not sure) and ended up being a lemon because of the roof seal. You couldn't notice it drip, it would go behind the trim and soak the carpets. Id give it a water test if you were seriously interested.

My first thought is why it has only 150 miles and is 2 years old? Was this car wrecked or hailed on at the dealership, flooded, salvaged, etc??? I would thoroughly investigate it's background. That said, I'd love to have a CTS 3.6DI as my DD.

No experience with this but my parents had a DTS a few years ago. Bought new off the showroom floor. The good: It was an absolute dream to drive. Fast, comfy, everything. All kinds of little perks in it such as heated seats, massagers in the seats, driver memory, sun shades operated by buttons, the whole nine yards. They really take care of you at the dealership also.

The bad: Engine had to be replaced within a year due to a cylinder issue...warranty. Electrical stuff was always acting up. Everything from the auto temp. control to the lumbar seats. It was always at the dealership for something. They did give dad an Escalade to drive most of the time though. Depreciation SUCKS. I can see that kind of deal on one they're trying to move. Doesn't surprise me. It will be worth low to mid 20's in two years.

They are great to drive but remember, the more stuff on it = more potential problems.

I have a client that raves about her SRX. She says it is the best car she has ever owned. My next car will likely be a CTS-V. One bad arse little machine. A vette with room for car seats. :)
