1967 GT Stripes - options

67DropTop

1967 Convertible, 5.0HO EFI, AOD
I will be painting my '67 convertible Nightmist Blue (from Tamco). The new top will be white and I will be changing my interior to white as well.

In '67 there were Early and Late stripes (wider)

I want the wider stripes. I'd also like reflective, available in '68. Unfortunately, only in the skinnier dimensions. Wider and reflective is not an option (at NPD anyway).

I am also considering painting the stripes, which would be way more cool. But also more expensive and time consuming. If I stick with a Ford white, there is only one metallic, that is Ford Space White.

Note: This is a DIY job I'm doing in my carport.

Looking for some input /opinions.

Wow, okay. Fresh from that other forum and my first "real" post here. Had to crack my knuckles first.
I wouldn't paint them. Nope. I went with narrower '65 GT stripes on my '68. I think the wider '67 stripes make these cars appear a bit bulbous.
But then again I also have rocker moldings that some would question the "why" of too, so what the hell do I know. If you hold your finger or hand over the screen just right you can get an idea of how '65 stripes would look on a '67 vert. If you do as Chris suggested above and order an appropriate reflective vinyl you can also have them cut to whatever dimensions you desire. :)

Any vinyl shop in your area can make them. Even reflective. They just need to order the right 3m or similar material.

This is probably the best route.
I looked up local vinyl shops and got The Record Man. I suppose places that do vinyl wraps or sign shops would be good source?

I'm keeping the rocker moldings as well. It looks a bit crowded or busy with the stripes. But they also go well with all the other brightwork.

Yes I would say so. They have cutters etc and those same shops usually do PPF as well. :)
