They DID fit. I had to pry some of the magnetic rails over a bit with an actual prybar and disheveled the drawer a bit but they are in. And a lot shinier than everything else in there.

looks like it is time for a bigger tool box! my socket drawers are so full but I keep adding more.

Local auction will be the death of me. Scored this baller bearing puller for two bucks. I suspect because it was unlabeled and nobody else bothered to Google what it was. Kind of an esoteric tool but handing for pulling the stuck input shaft bearings out of stuff liek Road Ranger transmissions and things. The puller pieces have little barbed ends that fit in between the races of a roller bearing and then are twisted 90 degrees to lock in. Retails for like $40 so not a huge score but anyway.

Both great finds. You'd be surprised how often that pin set might come in handy. You can never have too many puller set-ups. One might be designed for one purpose but you'll find others for it as well, as I'm sure you know.

I was at my sons's shop and told him I was about to go by a Dewalt cordless circular saw. He handed me on to his and said use it as log as you like. The blade is on the left hand side. I love the fact you can better see the line you are trying to cut.

I've been eyeing hydraulic lift tables for some time. I've already got a bad habit of lifting things I likely shouldn't so figured I kind of need one. But they are some pricy suckers. Yesterday Harbor Freight had a a sale on the two they sell, 35% off. Not far off half price and I've not seen them cheaper. So...
After work beetled off to the closest store. "Low stock" it said online. Went to the aisle and found the last pull ticket to take up front and did. Nope. Ticket was there but they were out. Cashier looked up the Spartanburg store and said they showed to have some. So ten miles or so later. No pull tickets and no tables. They said the Gaffney store had some and gave me their phone number. Jumped in the VW truck and sped away while getting them to swear on the phone they had at least three in stock. At 7:30 PM and they close at 8. VW was unhappy with my 80 Mph and the temp tended to climb a bit alarmingly (have to look into that). Got there in time (with no steam or coolant leaking). Lady brought my table out to the parking lot on the exact same kind of table I had bought which I thought a bit amusing. Lifted it right up to my tailgate and we slid the box on. Bloody thing weighs 150 pounds. I got the 1000 lb version. I was wondering where the hell I was going to put this thing but it turns out the handle folds down flat so I can just roll it under one of my garage queens for storage. Sweet. It also immediately occurred to me this this thing sans handle might make a heckuva transmission jack for a guy without a lift. (Me) Might work under one of those MaxxJax things too.
Anyway the pictures never show the damn things at full height so here's one.

I could have used one of those yesterday as I needed to remove and replace the kingpin box on my fifth wheel. I had to use an engine hoist to lift the 300# unit onto a shop cart to get it near the height I needed. Now I will have to go spend more money!

I added a hydraulic top link to the tractor. Best tool mod so far!
