Can I drive without grease?

Yeah...I know the answer is no....but.....the alignment shop is 2 miles from the house and my grease gun has been MIA for 6 yrs now.....I was thinking of slowly driving it there and telling them to grease it to rather than try and buy a new gun between now and Friday.
 
Maybe have them replace a few parts once you arrive.....then they can grease them.

Two miles is not much but if the joints are totally dry, it could be an issue. It is Monday....buy a gun.
 
What is not greased?

For a $10 grease gun, just buy the damn thing.
 
I'm heading to a friends house in North East tomorrow after work, I will drop mine off and leave it by your garage door, you can just keep it. it will be payment for the drums when their available.
By the way, nice sig pic!
 
I doubt a couple miles will hurt it assuming we're talking tire rod ends, joints, etc.

What is the backup plan if they lost their grease gun?

Not only do I have one.....but I know exactly where it is too.

It is under the floor in my living room.

See it hanging on the wall here what I was doing the floor rough in:

You can almost see it here right after the hot water baseboards have finished being installed so that I can the rest of the subfloor pieces

And here is gone....just before the painters needed to come and I was thrashing to get the crap off the walls and the rest of the floor put down

So....all I need to do is cut a whole right between these 2 windows and I can get my grease gun :(

That would bother me to no end. There is enough of a crawl space to get it from the outside without damaging the floor. You could drill a hole and use a see snake[nb]

[/nb] to get a good idea of exactly where it was located. then you only need a hole big enough for it to come out.

I insulated and installed plywood on my entire attic this past summer. My brother helped me for 5 hours one day. He lost a brand new hammer stapler. It took me two days, but i found it on top of insulation and under the floor. I couldn't just let it go.

ohh, and drive without grease. Hell, do it for a year or more, the economy could use the help.

Never seen anybody grease boards to make'm fit. Your cutting abilities are extremely accurate. Great job BTW.

Hey I said I knew the answer :p

I have also procured a grease gun thanks to Dave....who by extension is getting brakes from you.......when I install your brakes on the 65 and then install the 65 brakes on the 67, he will they have a drums to install on his 68.

In other news.....I think I sit too low in the rear :(

Saw your post on VMF. I think it looks great in the rear, its the front that is too high! But hey, ride height and wheel/tire choice to a guy is like shoes for a woman, lots of choice and everybody likes something different!

Don't forget to grease your brakes.
