Yeah, I left about 20 years ago because of some of the BS that was going on at the VMF at the time along with the NASTY DMs I was getting because I don't just "agree" with things.
Oh, and when I hear Special-K for some reason my brain thinks Preparation H for some reason but maybe Massengill would be more accurate.

LOL, I sent in a request to cancel my account so no loss.
On the survey email I got from Vertical Scope I simply replied to the email that I, and the knowledge base, was leaving specifically due to Special K.

Is it just me or have they shut down the ability to DM members over at the VMF? I was able to reply to conversations with members I started a while ago but for the life of me I cannot find a way to start one now.

Odd. I just jumped back on. They have not cancelled my account yet so I reached out to ZRay wishing him the best and to let him know the site to visit. My message went through.
You can still send pm's I sent several replies to people asking me what the new place to go is. Dr. Vette made a post this morning saying he was going to leave vmf, and I posted saying I hope you make it to the new community, that got some pm's/questions on where the new place is. That thread is now deleted.

I'm not cancelling my account. I want to be around to celebrate when they can Special Douche. I wont produce content for them anymore but will keep lurking. I find it hard to believe that any business owner would want their employees to talk to the clients the way that jerk does. It has to come to a bad end eventually.

How? I click on someone's profile and there is no option to start a conversation. I can continue one that I started a while back but I can't seem to find where to start a new one. Senior moment??

My account is now "closed", but they simply restrict access, wipe most personal data and assign the user name a number. I suspect that allows them to claim there is still a user.

I looked on VMF and I don't have the option to start a conversation with you. I checked another user and there is the options to Follow, Ignore, Start Conversation.
For you there is just Follow and Ignore.
I just made a post in the off topic section bringing this up, it'll probably be the end of my account lol. I haven't seen anything like this in my 25+yrs of being on a forum.

JW67Conv had just asked me in a PM where the 'other place' was so I sent him stangfix but spaced out and my email just in case they are monitoring PM's and I get banned.
