I haven't talked about this one much but thought I'd share it now. It's a long story if I really got into it but I'll try to keep it as short as possible.
I have a friend that I met through my kids when they were in school. He was a single dad, we did all the football and other school activities for marching band. Cooked on the grill at games for the concessions to raise money. Loaded and drove the equipment trucks, stuff like that.
Anyway, fast forward to just a couple years ago. He got remarried. He had this 66 Mustang in is attached one car garage. It belonged to his best friend he had known sine 7th grade. His friend passed away and he bought the car from the parents to keep it from goin to the junkyard. It ad been wrecked in 94 and sat ever since. When he got married again his new wife wanted to turn the garage into a studio. So without further elaboration, I ended up with the car. I came and got it and it sat until this past winter when I decided it needed to run again.
Yesterday after a 31 year slumber it went for it's first real drive to the High School for a car show. The parents, sister, niece and a few of his buddies all came to see the car. It was pretty cool. A few tear, lots of stories and smiles of great memories. His name was Jason Woodlee but his friends called him JWoody. First pic is from back in the day... second is in my friends garage. The rest are from when I have had it.
