Some of you know that I got divorced early this year and have moved to Tucson. AZPete had moved here in 2020, and my decision to move was independent of his. We were best of friends back in Florida, and it turned out the house I bought is in the same development complex as his. We're still best of friends, and get together quite often to shoot the shit.
When I moved here, I contacted a number of friends who I know here, wanting to get together once the pandemic slowed down. When COVID vaccinations came around, it became easier to meet people again. One of these friends was a woman that I've known for about 20 years, and we started dating about 2 months ago. That relationship has certainly blossomed, and I think I can speak for her as well as myself, in that each of us haven't experienced this level of happiness in quite a long time. It turns out we are incredibly compatible, sharing interests in cars and other hobbies, having similar ages, education, etc. She's exposing me to activities in and around Tucson that I normally wouldn't experience by myself, and I'm finding it exhilarating to experiencing them with her.
Some of you may have already guessed who my significant other is, and I'll leave it at that. Just wanted to share my good fortune with y'all.
