What did you get done on your Stang today????

That's that half-assed glass thingy he put in to make him feel like a Shelby Test car driver.

Yeah, what DA said.

Actually, it helps evacuate the air at high speeds so the rear of the car doesn't get "lite" It's also lighter than the glass dome. Anything to lower the weight of the car.

When I finished doing my rewire I started the car and it ran fine and the next time I started it I heard an excessive amount of friction. I got really frustrated and walked away in disgust. Isn't ironed to my wife I thought the starter was not disengaging but I was fed up working on it.

Fast forward to today I had the car towed to a shop to investigate and install a new Megasquirt system to improve on the drive ability under part throttle. It turns out that my new high torque starter took a dump as I suspected. I will pick up a new powermaster starter tomorrow. After that they can do the tuning.

I received my new JRI shocks a little over a week ago and the rear shocks were the wrong length. I hope to have some new ones by next week. After that I can actually drive it. Fingers crossed nothing else comes up.

Now that my ankle has healed enough and the car is roadworthy again, I've been going on daily drives around town. Sure is nice to be able to drive it so easily. Beats the miles of gravel I used to drive before I'd hit pavement!

So, this in-town living has at least one good outcome!

Once we get all the other crap moved back in, shop fan installed on the back wall, and shelving up in back, we're moving the fairlane from the in-laws place. So soon it'll have a roommate.

Got the master cylinder put in, new front brake lines bent and put in, and a new rear line bent with a proportioning valve and 10 lb residual pressure valve installed to the rear brakes. Once that was done, we bled the brakes.

We test fitted doors, a fender and the trunk lid. Then she was pushed outside for a bit of sun and a dust wash-off.

Alright everyone, long overdue update. Left for Iraq in 2010, 2011 moved to Afghanistan and have been working there since. 2012 on a R&R I moved to Tampa. During the cars getting shipped, the aluminum radiators were stolen and it took 18 months for the sippers insurance to give me a settlement. Finally had time home to install the new radiator. Garage is a mess. The twine blowing in the exhaust is holding the deck lid down due to the latch getting vandalized too.

408W with Cleveland heads, Vortech supercharger, Trickflow stage 2 cam, custom headers with Magnaflow 3" stainless exhaust, Viper T56, 03 Cobra IRS, Konis all around. If I had more time I'd do a test drive video. I'm off to Monterey to vist an old friend.

Nothing , but I bought this for $500 ....
