Who makes a good fuel sending unit?

Last summer when I had Dad's vert here I worked on the fuel sending unit. The gas gauge would only to 3/4 when full. Well I took it out and adjusted it, and thought I had it dialed in. When I picked it up last Saturday for the Knott's show the fuel gauge was not working at all. So that is it. I want to replace it. I want a good quality part, maybe someday I will repair the original sending unit, but for now I want something that works.
The sending unit is for a 1964 1/2 Mustang.

About 3 years ago I bought one from NPD. It was an upgrade over the standard unit and a little more expensive. I've had no problems with it on my 65.

I think I may pull mine and send it to Craig since he has that cool little mock up he built to let him adjust it before its installed.

I hope Craig doesnt mind me mentioning it, my little way of whoring him out....

I just bought one from NPD that is supposedly the most accurate one on the market :confu ......for $26.95. we shall see.

Just in case your new tank unit didn't work : check the volt & Ohm levels at the conections under your dash. Specs are in your shop manual.
